Phone verification problem

I'm currently trying to finish a purchase but I get the message "The mobile number you had provided is already in use or invalid. Please key in another mobile number."

I'm from Argentina +(54) and my phone number is 116596xxxx

Hi Juan, system shows the number provided as invalid. Please try add 9 between the area code and country code and proceed to verify the number again. Example : +54 9 11659xxxxx

same problem, keeps saying "The mobile number you had provided is already in use or invalid. Please key in another mobile number."  HELP
